Pittsburgh, PA (September 26, 2019) – The Pittsburgh Knights, Pittsburgh’s professional esports team, are testing out a video gaming zone at Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Knights partnered with the six-time Super Bowl winners in 2018 and have been growing their presence in the city ever since, producing events such as the Steel City Showdown and Replay FX. The area at Heinz Field will be called the Knights Gaming Zone and will start out by featuring Xbox One consoles loaded with Madden NFL 20 – the most popular football video game.
“Fans always come down early to tailgate and enjoy Heinz Field; now they’ll have the opportunity to challenge each other to a friendly video game competition at the Knights Gaming Zone,” says Knights president James O’Connor. “This is just another great way for people to have fun before a Steelers game or at halftime.”
Located on the southeast rotunda at Heinz Field near the jumbotron, the Knights Gaming Zone will open with the stadium, two hours before kickoff. Check it out next Monday the 30th when the Steelers play the Cincinnati Bengals.
