Pittsburgh, PA (September 25, 2019) – The Pittsburgh Knights have updated their Smite Pro League lineup with Daniel “Rowe” Rowe moving from the position of coach to the active roster. Rowe will take the role of Solo and join teammates Adrian “Deathwalker” Benko, Kennet “Adapting” Ros, Emil “EmilZy” Nelsen, and Liam “Vote” Shanks.
To accommodate this new addition, the Knights have released Joakim “Zyrhoes” Vergren”.
“It was a difficult decision but ultimately it’s the right move for the team. We put our full trust in them,” says Knights consultant Garett Bambrough. “The players already work well with Rowe and we think this transition will be both constructive and seamless”.
Before signing with the Knights this past January, Rowe, who hails from Australia, took first place at the 2018 SPL Summer Split Finals LAN. He was also crowned the Most Winning Player in the Smite Oceana Pro League, and was invited to be a guest analyst for the 2017 Smite World Championship.
“Nobody here is thrilled about the crossroads we’ve come to, but the path we’ve chosen is the one we’re most confident in,” says Rowe. “Moving forward I will miss having Zyrhoes around the house, but I wish him the very best”.
The Knights are currently tied for 2nd place in season 6 of the SPL.
