With a $12,000+ USD prize pool and Global Mortal Kombat points on the line, our Fighting Games player Curtis “Rewind” McCall will battle against the best players in MK1 from May 24th to May 26th for a chance to earn himself a spot at the Mortal Kombat World Championship, “Final Kombat 2024” in June.
Combo Breaker will take place in Schaumburg Convention Center and will hold different competitions for other fighting games as well as different activities for all gamers.
Earlier this month, Rewind qualified for the NA West Mortal Kombat Pro Regional Final in 4th place with 305 points and achieved a 5th place overall.
We are currently placed at 16th place in the Global MK Pro Leaderboard and only the top 9 will make it to the “Final Kombat 2024”. The goal this weekend is to come back stronger on LAN and secure the qualification.
“We are very excited to see Rewind play on stage and we are confident he can show why he deserves to be at the world championship!” – Manuel “Lampago” Castro, Esports Manager
